I had the pleasure of photographing this family of three near their home in downtown Edmonton. They had wanted to capture their family portraits in an urban style with different neighbourhood locations that they frequent as a family.
We planned the session near sunset so we could get some beautiful golden light but also early enough that we didn’t interrupt their son’s sleep schedule. We all know how important that is!
First we stopped at a nearby waterpark and had some fun there playing and watching the puppies run. Then we moved along and found a colourful backdrop for photos with mom and dad. Afterward, we walked to another treed area close by and then found yet another beautiful mural to use for portraits! Loved the colours and textures in that one especially!
This family was so much fun to work with and I had a great time finding different, new-to-me spots in the city to use as our backdrop. I loved getting little giggles out of their sweet little boy and I loved the connection between mom and dad! It was a really nice evening to be photographing.
